Design for a new 308,000 square foot, twelve story, 500 room hotel addition and 396,000 square foot convention center expansion to the existing Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas is nearing completion. The convention center expansion features a 76,000 square foot Flex Hall which can be configured for ballroom events or exhibition space, and 57,000 square feet of meeting rooms. The convention center expansion required the addition of a new central plant, featuring a custom concrete cooling tower to reduce the noise impact to the adjacent neighborhood. Electrical power service features medium voltage distribution.
