Completed in 2000, the U.S. Courthouse and Federal Building is located in the heart of Brownsville’s central business district. The three level, 198,000 square foot facility was designed using Texas Limestone, Texas Pink Granite, and Texas Black Granite to accent the Mission-style exterior. The award winning lighting design features energy efficient, dimmable fluorescent fixtures as well as an abundance of natural light in the Great Hall.
It is home to the U.S. Attorneys offices and the Fifth Circuit Library, which serves the public and legal community of the entire Rio Grande Valley.
