This project is an expansion to the existing Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas. It includes a new 308,000 square foot, twelve story, 500 room hotel addition, and a 396,000 square foot convention center expansion. The convention center expansion features a 76,000 square foot Flex Hall, which can be configured for ballroom events or exhibition space, and 57,000 square feet of meeting rooms. The convention center expansion required the addition of a new central plant, featuring a custom concrete cooling tower to reduce the noise impact to the adjacent neighborhood. Electrical power service features medium voltage distribution to the convention center.
