Alice Pratt Brown Hall is Dean of Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, which is one of the nation’s most prestigious major university-level music programs. It draws professional musicians from all over the world to perform in its acoustically rich performance space. The $22 million facility represents the heart of the Shepherd School’s rise to excellence. The facility is a 132,000 square foot performing arts facility, and includes state-of-the-art theatrical technology. CHPA provided the original engineering for the full integration of such systems as: the power conditioning system for electrically sensitive areas, major theatrical lighting systems, multiple sound systems, and recording studios. CHP and Associates also provided the engineering design for the addition of the organ studio.
